1. A 39-year-old man, working as a house builder, was admitted to pulmonary ward with an eleven-month history of persistent wheezing, heard not only during auscultation but also by patient himself. This wheezing had no correlation with physical exertion. Oxygen (O2) saturation was 94% on room air. On physical examination, the patient was uncomfortable and in mild distress. Describe the steps to be taken in the management of his condition.
